Thuy Bieu Agricultural and Service Cooperative (abbreviated as Cooperative) currently has 302 members. Not only providing simple agricultural services, but thanks to the application of technology in business, the cooperative's agricultural products have "reached" distant markets.
Ms. Le Thi Lan Dung, Director of the Cooperative, said: Thanks to promoting the image and quality of Thuy Xuan ward agricultural products on digital platforms, Thuy Bieu pomelos have been introduced to the Kingfoodmart supermarket chain in Ho Chi Minh City and to many clean fruit businesses in Hanoi . Thuy Bieu pomelos are available at reputable sales units such as supermarkets, contributing to affirming the brand of local agricultural products, as well as having the opportunity to reach consumers everywhere. When agricultural products have favorable output, prices will be stable, and people will no longer worry about good harvests and low prices.
Running ads and selling products on all digital platforms is something that Ms. Nguyen Thi Be Ba, Director of Phu Thuan Traditional Fish Sauce Cooperative, Thuan An Ward, probably never thought of before. “As a pure handmade product producer, we mainly focus on the wholesale channel. With market trends, adapting and applying digital transformation in production and business is inevitable. Therefore, after the Cooperative's traditional fish sauce products were registered as trademarks, had food hygiene and safety certificates..., we boldly brought branded traditional fish sauce bottles to the market further. For a traditional fish sauce brand to be known and accepted, in addition to ensuring quality, we focus on design and convenience. Currently, the Cooperative's products are available on many online business platforms and have brought quite good results," said Ms. Be Ba.
Through training sessions organized by the City Women's Union, Cooperative Alliance..., Ms. Be Ba and the cooperative members have learned many digital marketing skills such as: Proficiency in building attractive product images, how to write content to attract customers and run effective ads; knowing how to use applications and software to manage orders, track revenue and take care of and interact with customers.
Not only cooperatives, associations, and cooperative groups, but also the application of digital technology in business and connecting the consumption of products and goods has helped women members open up many new opportunities in business and develop household economy .
It is the basic knowledge and skills on applying digital technology, using smartphones in business, ways to promote and introduce products on online platforms such as Facebook, Zalo..., e-commerce information pages provided by women's unions at all levels to members that have helped members get closer to technology, digital transformation, opened many doors, helped members connect and expand the market for goods consumption.
According to Ms. Tran Thi Kim Loan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, President of the City Women's Union, all levels of the union have been coordinating training, equipping members with knowledge and skills to gradually apply digital technology to develop the family economy, contributing to improving the efficiency of production and business activities. From the knowledge learned, with the "support" of all levels of the union in connecting the consumption of goods, many cooperatives, cooperative groups... owned by women, many business models of women members have developed remarkably, bringing high economic efficiency; contributing to affirming the role and position of women in socio-economic development in the locality.
