Mr. Cao Thanh Van, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Artemia Vinh Chau - Bac Lieu Cooperative, spoke at the meeting.

“However, in 2025, the Cooperative has strongly directed the application of new and suitable production processes, so productivity has improved significantly. With a selling price of 1.1 million VND/kg, member households have brought in a profit of 50 million VND/ha. The Cooperative's Artemia egg products are of the best quality on the market, and the brand has been built and promoted for over 20 years, so consumption is easy and widespread at home and abroad. Ms. Vu Hong Nhu Yen (middle), Head of the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council, surveyed the canning area of the Artemia Vinh Chau - Bac Lieu Cooperative.

Dong Tien Cooperative currently has 554 members with a charter capital of over VND 5.6 billion. The main production and business lines of the Cooperative are clam and oyster breeding, commercial farming and seed supply with a production area of over 900 hectares. In recent times, the Cooperative has achieved many positive results. Typically, it has solved tens of thousands of working days for members every year, with an income of VND 250,000-300,000/person/session; the total revenue of the Cooperative up to the first 6 months of 2025 reached over VND 2.3 billion; the amount of clams on the Cooperative's beach is estimated at about 300 tons.

Mr. Huynh Mung Em, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director of Dong Tien Cooperative.

In addition to the achievements of the Cooperative, Mr. Huynh Mung Em, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director of Dong Tien Cooperative, shared the difficulties that the members of the Cooperative are facing. Due to the impact of weather, the salinity increased, affecting the development of clams; polluted water sources caused clams to die en masse, so the output was not high; the Cooperative's capital was limited, so there were not enough resources to produce on an area of 900 hectares, so the Cooperative invited partners from other localities.

Ms. Vu Hong Nhu Yen spoke at the working session with Dong Tien Cooperative.

At the working sessions, Ms. Vu Hong Nhu Yen, Head of the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council, shared that the province's goal is to strive to achieve double-digit economic growth in the coming time. Therefore, economic sectors such as cooperatives, enterprises, business households... play an extremely important role in helping the province achieve this goal. At the same time, she acknowledged the difficulties of cooperatives to propose to the Provincial People's Committee, relevant departments and branches to jointly resolve them in accordance with the provisions of law.
