Welcoming guests to experience the river and enjoy the country's specialties - this method not only makes the flood season more beautiful in the eyes of the people but also brings memorable experiences that only happen once a year to visitors.
In Phu Tho commune, Dong Thap province, farmers have proactively stored fish since the beginning of the season, now entering the exploitation both for sale and to serve tourists. The farmers here know how to prepare carefully to help tourists experience the feeling of swaying in the fields picking star fruit, sesbania flowers, scooping eels, and catching fish like a real farmer.

In addition to experiencing the activities, visitors can also enjoy rustic dishes: grilled fish, stir-fried shrimp with water mimosa flowers, linh fish hotpot with water mimosa flowers... all made from products of the flood season. In just one month, this model has welcomed more than 200 visitors, mainly from Ho Chi Minh City, with an average of 2 to 4 groups of visitors coming to visit and experience each week.

By turning the flood season into a community tourism product, Dong Thap farmers not only enhance the value of their hometown products, but also contribute to promoting the cultural beauty and people of the West to friends near and far.
