Sharing at the album launch of Hanoi flag and flowers on September 23 in Hanoi, People's Artist Mai Hoa said that her singing voice is deep and husky, always leisurely and unhurried.
"I once went to the doctor, and when the doctor took my pulse, he asked: "Why is your pulse so slow?" It's true that I speak fast but I sing slowly," the female singer humorously recounted.
The female singer also admitted that she is a workaholic and has not released many music products.
People's Artist Mai Hoa said: "I am the type of person who takes on too much, is a workaholic, and feels like I have to reach out to feel secure everywhere. Even with the flower vase in the living room, I want to choose each branch myself and arrange it according to my own preferences. If I ask someone else, I won't feel secure. If I can do it, I will do it, even if it takes more time."

Friends have repeatedly suggested that she should cut back to reduce her workload. But for Mai Hoa, that is part of her personality. “Maybe because I am used to being meticulous in everything I do, so when I release a music product, it is the same. If I don’t think it is really good, I won’t release it to the public,” she confided.
When asked about Hanoi, Mai Hoa considers it the place that nurtured her youth and singing career. After many years of attachment, Hanoi has become an indelible part of her memory.
She said: “Back then, I always walked to school or work. Every morning, I passed Thien Quang Lake. The cold air hit my face and my teeth chattered. The cold of Hanoi seeped into my skin, both cold and painful. Thinking back now, I still feel nostalgic.”
For People's Artist Mai Hoa, Hanoi not only has the biting cold of winter but also the passionate scent of milk flowers every autumn: "There are evenings when the wind blows, carrying the sweet scent of milk flowers. That atmosphere makes people easy to remember, cute, and easily moved."
Those experiences, according to her, have become an endless source of inspiration in music and permeate every lyric and melody in the album Hanoi Flag Flowers.
The album includes 9 familiar songs: Hanoi Pink Heart (Nguyen Duc Toan), Remembering Hanoi's Autumn, Blue Sky of Hanoi, Hanoi and I, Hanoi in Autumn, Remembering Hanoi, Hanoi in the Season of Flying Leaves, Hanoi Afternoon, My Sister (Trong Dai).
Musician Hong Kien, the album's music director, shared: "Mai Hoa's voice is deep, thick and powerful, the low notes are the singer's own mark in each work. I believe that this will bring a special appeal and rare emotional depth to the songs this time."
