Recalling the meeting when President Vuong Dinh Hue visited Australia, Ms. Sharon Claydon said that Vietnam and Australia have many common concerns, for the development of each country and for security, safety, stability, and development in the region, especially in areas such as disease prevention, socio-economic development, education and training, jointly implementing the goal of reducing net emissions to zero by 2050, energy transition, and offshore wind power development; believing that after the upgrade, the Vietnam - Australia cooperation relationship will develop to new heights.

The Prime Minister asked the Parliaments of the two countries to continue to concretize the agreements signed by the two sides; support and supervise the implementation of commitments between the two Governments, and realize the Vietnam - Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in a practical and effective manner.

The Prime Minister proposed that the two sides cooperate to renew old growth drivers in investment, export, and consumption; add new growth drivers such as digital economy, green economy, circular economy, and sharing economy; and request Australia to continue creating conditions and granting scholarships to Vietnamese students; and have more open policies on labor and visas for Vietnamese people doing business and living in Australia.

Considering Australia a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural country, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh suggested that Australia consider and recognize the Vietnamese community living in Australia as an ethnic minority of Australia.
