
On the morning of September 20, Mr. Le Thanh Hai, Principal of Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, said that Pham Doan Minh Khue, a 10C2 student of the school, had won the second prize in the 54th UPU International Letter Writing Competition, recently announced by the Universal Postal Union (UPU) in Dubai (United Arab Emirates).

With a letter about the movie script titled "The Ocean's Plea" to the famous director James Cameron, Pham Doan Minh Khue transformed into the ocean to tell his own story. The heart of the ocean is in pain because of indifference, destruction and begs an influential person to make a movie that will awaken the whole world.

Minh Khue's letter surpassed more than 1.5 million entries from students nationwide, winning the national first prize at the 54th UPU International Letter Writing Competition in 2025 in Vietnam.
It is known that the 54th UPU International Letter Writing Competition in 2025 attracted more than 1.6 million letters sent from 65 countries around the world. The first prize was awarded to a female student from Türkiye. This is the 19th time that Vietnam has had a student win the prize after 37 years of participation.
