Propaganda of laws on inland waterway traffic safety

DNO - On the morning of October 7, the City Traffic Safety Committee coordinated with the Department of Construction and the City Police Traffic Police Department to propagate and disseminate laws on inland waterway traffic safety and order to more than 100 vehicle owners and crew members operating on Bach Dang wharf, Bay Mau Coconut Forest, and the Hoi An - Cu Lao Cham route.

Accordingly, students were informed of legal regulations for crew members and vehicle drivers (Decree No. 139/2021/ND-CP); Law on Protection of Life on Water; shared experiences, incident response procedures, rescue skills... on water.

In addition, the City Traffic Safety Committee requires fishermen, crew members, and vehicle owners to strictly comply with full vehicle inspection, equip life-saving and rescue equipment; not carry more people than allowed, not leave port in bad weather or when the vehicle is unsafe...

According to Phan Duc Tien, Chief of the Office of the City Traffic Safety Committee, there are many waterway tourism routes in the city, of which the Hoi An - Cu Lao Cham route is built as a safe, friendly and peaceful inland waterway route, a reliable destination for tourists.
