Ons Jabeur meets Marketa Vondrousova in the 2023 Wimbledon women's singles final

Overcoming world number two Aryna Sabalenka after 3 sets, Ons Jabeur won the right to play in the 2023 Wimbledon final to meet opponent Marketa Vondrousova.

After defeating defending champion Elena Rybakina in the quarterfinals, Ons Jabeur faced world number two Aryna Sabalenka in the semi-finals of Wimbledon 2023. Jabeur continued to show commendable mettle against a stronger opponent.

In the first set, the two players took each other to a tie-break. Sabalenka's good physical condition and ability to seize opportunities helped her win 7-5 in this set.

But in set 2, Ons Jabeur won with great courage. Jabeur broke game 10, directly deciding the result and winning 6-4. Tied 1-1, Jabeur and Sabalenka took each other to the deciding set 3.

Sabalenka quickly lost her physical strength and was constantly behind her opponent. Therefore, Tunisian tennis player Ons Jabeur won 7-6, 6-4, 6-3 to advance to the Wimbledon 2023 final.

This is the second time in his career that Ons Jabeur has appeared in the Wimbledon final. In the 2022 Wimbledon final, Jabeur lost to Rybakina. This year, the WTA No. 6 player successfully took revenge on his Kazakh opponent in the quarterfinals.

Ons Jabeur will face Marketa Vondrousova in the Wimbledon 2023 final on the evening of July 15. The Czech tennis player also easily defeated Elina Svitolina (Ukraine) yesterday (July 13) after two sets with the same score of 6-3.
