The Vietnamese booth hosted by the Vietnamese Embassy in Chile introduced many typical Vietnamese products to international friends.

From September 30 to October 2, at the Espacio Riesco Exhibition Center (Santiago), the International Fair ESPACIO FOOD & SERVICE 2025 took place in a bustling atmosphere, attracting more than 1,400 booths on an area of 34,442m² and nearly 40,000 visitors, including many importers, supermarket chains, large restaurants and hotels, and a large number of food and beverage industry experts in the Latin American region.

Within the framework of the fair, the Vietnamese booth chaired by the Vietnamese Embassy in Chile introduced many typical products to international friends.

About 50 domestic enterprises sent products for display, from key agricultural products (rice, coffee, dried fruits, fruit juices, spices, instant foods) to handicrafts, kitchen appliances, combined with products bearing the mark of Vietnamese culture.

Ambassador Nguyen Viet Cuong and Embassy staff were present to support businesses in promoting their brands, contacting partners and seeking cooperation opportunities.

According to the Ambassador, Vietnam's participation at the event aims to strengthen the connection between supply and demand, expand distribution channels in Chile and South American countries, and introduce to international friends an image of Vietnam as dynamic, creative and ready to accompany businesses in the integration process.

The initial results were very positive. After three days of the fair, nearly 60 Chilean businesses registered to exchange and express their demand for importing Vietnamese goods, especially rice, dried fruit, coffee, fruit juice, frozen seafood and instant food.

This is a signal that Vietnamese goods are increasingly gaining attention in a market with large purchasing power, high food consumption levels and a modern distribution system like Chile.

The event also has the meaning of continuing Vietnam's trade promotion activities in Chile, after the Embassy participated in Expo Café 2025 last July. The two consecutive events show the persistent efforts in Vietnam's economic diplomacy strategy, contributing to realizing the potential for trade and investment cooperation between Vietnam and Chile, while opening the door to the Latin American market for Vietnamese goods.

In the context of the two countries having established a Comprehensive Partnership framework, Vietnam is currently a member of both CPTPP and RCEP, while Chile is a member of CPTPP and has just made preparations and expressed interest in the possibility of joining RCEP. This shows that regional trade cooperation mechanisms are opening up more access channels for goods from both sides.

The results achieved at the ESPACIO FOOD & SERVICE 2025 Fair show that there is still a lot of potential for cooperation in the field of agricultural products, food and beverages. However, to turn opportunities into reality, Vietnamese enterprises need to continue to invest in quality, build brands and meet the strict requirements on packaging, traceability and food safety of the Chilean market as well as the South American region.
