On October 2, the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, in coordination with the Union of Vietnamese Associations in Japan and community associations, held a fundraising ceremony to support people in the country affected by storm No. 10, also known internationally as Bualoi.

The launching ceremony was attended by all staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan, the Community Affairs Committee, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Association in Japan and representatives of many Vietnamese associations in Japan.

The event was organized in both in-person and online formats, to create conditions for overseas Vietnamese to join hands towards their homeland.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Pham Quang Hieu called for contributions from the entire Vietnamese community in Japan to support compatriots in the country.

At the launching ceremony, Chairman of the Vietnam Association in Japan Nguyen Hong Son said that in the face of the situation of storm No. 10 causing great damage to the people in the country, the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan decided to coordinate with the Vietnam Association in Japan and many associations to organize donations to support.

Vice President of the Union of Associations Pham Dinh Thuong quickly informed about the damage caused by natural disasters, emphasizing that storm No. 10 has caused very heavy damage to people, property, and infrastructure in the Northern and North Central regions, with thousands of houses destroyed, many families losing loved ones, many people losing property and livelihoods, and people's lives are facing many difficulties.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Pham Quang Hieu emphasized that the event aimed to spread humanistic values ​​and call for contributions from the entire Vietnamese community in Japan to support compatriots in the country.

The Ambassador asked Vietnamese associations to strongly share information with every Vietnamese person in Japan, and emphasized that support for compatriots in the country affected by storm No. 10 will be of great spiritual value and should be timely. The Ambassador expressed his hope that the entire community would respond and send their hearts back to their homeland.

The Federation of Vietnamese Associations in Japan said that after collecting all contributions from all associations, businesses, and individuals across Japan, it will urgently send them back to the country to promptly share the difficulties with compatriots who are suffering serious damage caused by natural disasters.
