Launching the construction of an eco-tourism village in Cam Thanh commune

This activity is within the framework of the project "Developing sustainable community livelihood models combined with ecotourism to promote socio -economic development, contributing to the protection of biodiversity and ecosystems in the Cu Lao Cham - Hoi An World Biosphere Reserve" of the Global Environment Facility Small Projects Funding Program in Vietnam.

The model's goal is to guide the community of residents in Go Hy to work together in tourism, creating new and sustainable tourism products on the basis of conserving diverse and unique aquatic resources in the Thu Bon estuary, Cua Dai coast in the buffer zone of the Cu Lao Cham - Hoi An World Biosphere Reserve as well as preserving and promoting the value of the Cam Thanh bamboo and water coconut house making craft village - a national intangible cultural heritage.

After the launching ceremony, the Go Hy village community started cleaning up, improving the landscape and environment, creating a green and clean destination for tourists.
