Developing cooperative and linked economic activities in the production and consumption of agricultural products according to market requirements and standards.

On April 22, in Thanh Hoa City, the Department of Economic Cooperation and Rural Development, Vietnam Academy of Agriculture in collaboration with the Farmers' Associations of Nam Dinh , Ninh Binh and Thanh Hoa provinces, organized a conference to train knowledge on developing cooperative economy, linking in production and consumption of agricultural products according to market requirements and standards.

Overview of the conference.

During 3 days (April 22-24), 60 Association officials, leaders and members of agricultural cooperatives were taught by agricultural experts on topics to improve knowledge on cooperative economic development for cooperative members, farm owners and members of agricultural enterprises; improve knowledge on cooperative economic development for members linking production and consumption of agricultural products, doing business along the agricultural value chain connecting supply and demand of goods and the role of cooperatives in building value chains; and regulate standards for exported agricultural products.

Mr. Dang Van Quang, Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee spoke at the conference.

At the training course, delegates exchanged experiences in linking production and consumption of agricultural products, doing business according to the agricultural value chain connecting supply and demand of goods; thereby changing the mindset of organization, operation, production according to the commodity value chain, contributing to improving the capacity, position and role of cooperatives in developing collective economy associated with agricultural production according to the commodity value chain and effectively implementing the program of restructuring the agricultural sector and building new rural areas in the current period and the following years.
