From October 7 to 9, floods caused by storm No. 11 caused great damage to My Thai and Tien Luc communes. In Tien Luc commune, 13/16 villages were completely isolated with nearly 2,000 households and more than 7,000 people. In addition, about 900 hectares of rice, crops, and fruit trees were flooded; many traffic routes and irrigation works were flooded and damaged...

Currently, local authorities have coordinated to support the transportation of essential supplies (food, drinking water, medicine, etc.) to isolated areas; urgently reinforced and temporarily repaired traffic.

Leaders visited and encouraged priest Nguyen Van Dinh and people at My Loc Parish, Tien Luc commune.

In My Thai commune, heavy rains and floods caused more than 300 hectares of unharvested rice and corn to be submerged, 211 hectares of aquatic products to overflow, and many households had to evacuate. Some traffic and irrigation works were eroded, such as: Level 3 dike section in Cong Phen village; Duc Tho dike section; Dam Nung critical dike in Thuan village. In addition, many houses were damaged, surrounding walls collapsed; traffic in many villages was partially cut off...

Comrade Nguyen Thi Huong and the delegation gave gifts and supported the people of My Thai commune.

In order to ensure the safety of people in the flood area, in recent days, the authorities of Tien Luc and My Thai communes have urgently implemented plans to evacuate people to safe locations. At the same time, they have directed villages and grassroots security and order teams to regularly inspect the area, grasp the situation, promptly report when there are incidents, and ensure the lives of people in the affected areas.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Huong visited and encouraged people affected by floods at the evacuation site.

Directly visiting, encouraging and giving necessities to people in San village (Tien Luc commune); Hong Giang village (My Thai commune) and people evacuated to My Thai Secondary School, comrade Nguyen Thi Huong praised the efforts of sectors and localities, especially the military and police forces, especially the participation of the people in preventing and fighting natural disasters.

The working group inspected the incident site on the dike in Cong Phen village, My Thai commune.

Sharing the difficulties and hardships of local people, comrade Nguyen Thi Huong affirmed that the province always closely monitors the situation, resolutely directs functional agencies, Party committees and local authorities affected by natural disasters to focus on flood and storm prevention and control, overcoming consequences with the highest goal of ensuring the health, life and property of the people, absolutely not letting any people go hungry or have no safe place to live.

He requested local Party committees, authorities and functional agencies to regularly patrol and grasp the weather and water level developments on the river to develop plans and scenarios for each specific situation, ensuring safety for the task force.

Continue to care, share, and encourage families affected by floods; review and mobilize forces and means to access isolated areas, support food, drinking water, medicine, disinfectants; support people to repair damaged houses, arrange temporary accommodation so that people do not suffer.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee hopes that people in localities will make efforts to overcome difficulties, actively coordinate with local Party committees and authorities to focus on overcoming the consequences of floods, especially environmental sanitation, disease prevention, early recovery of production and stabilization of life.

Comrade Nguyen Nhan Chinh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, presented gifts to share difficulties with families whose relatives died due to floods.

On this occasion, the delegation presented more than 920 gift boxes to people in isolated areas of the two communes including: drinking water, milk, instant noodles, cakes; and 10 million VND in support from the province's Social Security Fund for families whose relatives died due to the impact of storm No.

Also here, the leaders of the Provincial Red Cross presented 1,500 gifts including essential necessities such as: Milk, water, sausages, instant noodles, rice... totaling 60 million VND to the people of the two communes. Enterprises including: Bac Giang LGG Garment Corporation, Duy Anh Construction and Trading Joint Stock Company each donated 50 million VND to Tien Luc commune to help people in the flood-affected areas overcome difficulties soon.
