Vice President attends Mid-Autumn Festival 2025 in Can Tho city

On the evening of October 3, in Long Phu commune (Can Tho city), Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and the Central delegation attended the Mid-Autumn Festival 2025 with the theme "Lanterns light up dreams" with children in the city. The program was organized by the Department of Health in coordination with the Can Tho City Youth Union.

In a joyful and bustling atmosphere, the children listened to the leaders of the City People's Committee read the letter from the President to children and teenagers on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival 2025, watched performances and participated in the Mid-Autumn Festival.

At the program, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and the delegation and leaders of Can Tho city awarded 30 scholarships and 30 bicycles to students in difficult circumstances.

Previously, on the afternoon of October 3, the Vice President and the Central Working Delegation visited and presented Mid-Autumn Festival gifts to children being treated at the Can Tho City Oncology Hospital. Here, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan sent her regards, encouragement, and best wishes on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival to the families, children being treated, and the medical staff, doctors, and nurses of the Oncology Hospital, presented 30 gifts to the children being treated and presented gifts to the medical staff of the General Surgery Department.

The Vice President hopes that the families of the sick children will cooperate well with the doctors and nurses in treating the children to help them recover quickly and continue their studies; at the same time, he asked the medical staff of the Oncology Hospital to promote the spirit of "a good doctor is like a mother", and to have the best care and treatment plan for sick children in particular and patients being treated at the hospital in general.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep, Vice Chairwoman of Can Tho City People's Committee, the Mid-Autumn Festival activities for children in Long Phu commune and medical facilities in the city are organized to bring a safe, joyful and meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival program to children, especially children in especially difficult circumstances, disabled children, orphans; at the same time, demonstrating the attention of the leaders of the Party, State, Can Tho City and the Vietnam Children's Fund in caring for, protecting and looking after children; contributing to creating a useful playground, encouraging the spirit of learning, training and spreading the responsibility of families, communities and society towards children.
