Diverse activities in "Women's Action Month" 2025

On October 4, in Dat Do commune (HCMC), the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union (HCMC Women's Union) organized the launching ceremony of the 3rd "Month of Action with Women" - 2025.

Attending the event were comrades: Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; Tran Van Tuan, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the City People's Council; Vo Ngoc Thanh Truc, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union; Nguyen Thi Tuyet Minh, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the City Party Committee.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, President of the Vietnam Women's Union in Ho Chi Minh City Vo Ngoc Thanh Truc shared that "Month of Action with Women" will focus on disseminating and thoroughly understanding the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and policies related to women and gender equality.

At the same time, mobilize resources to care for women and children in difficult circumstances; support women in starting businesses, developing the economy , accessing science and technology, and digital transformation. Visit and encourage policy families, disadvantaged women, and migrant workers.

In addition, organize movements associated with the campaign "Building a family of 5 no, 3 clean", "Building a loyal, dynamic, creative, and responsible woman in Ho Chi Minh City". Launch peak emulation campaigns to welcome Party Congresses at all levels and major holidays.

Comrade Vo Ngoc Thanh Truc emphasized that the launching ceremony is the starting point of a series of activities in October - "Month of Action with Women". All levels of the Women's Union and its members, women in the whole city will simultaneously respond to the movement "City of Colorful Flowers" with 169 green works, flower gardens in schools, communities, families... contributing to building a civilized, green - clean - beautiful city and connecting the community.

Comrade Vo Ngoc Thanh Truc called on all levels of the Association to promote the spirit of initiative and creativity, organize many practical activities, suitable to the actual situation of the locality and unit. Focus on caring for and supporting women and children in difficult circumstances, contributing to the good implementation of social security policies, building happy and progressive families.

Speaking at the program, comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc suggested that the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union preside over and coordinate with the Party Committee at the same level to direct the transition of women's movement activities from the right direction to the right, sufficient, measurable and verifiable results. Accordingly, the results obtained are not only felt but must enter the material and spiritual life of social activities in each street, each village, each family and each individual.

Emphasizing the role of women participating in all areas of work and social life, comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc affirmed that taking action together requires the role of Party committees, Party organizations, the government and the entire political system. Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee issued the Directive "Action Month with Women", which highlights the role, responsibility, functions and authority of Party committees and organizations to comprehensively lead the government, support and create conditions for the Women's Union to undertake its tasks.

Referring to the coordination mechanism, comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc emphasized that there must be diverse methods, deep coordination and meaningful depth so that society can join hands, be unanimous, and share responsibility so that the Women's Union can participate in common work and common interests, that is, women and children are the key subjects to benefit from this program.

Accordingly, comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc called on the business community, religious organizations, intellectuals and people of all walks of life to support, care for and create conditions for women to always be the pillars to keep the family warm. From there, to let women participate in social activities, so that children can increasingly benefit better from the role of the Vietnam Women's Union, so that disadvantaged groups can increasingly receive better care and so that women can be encouraged to progress, develop and contribute to society.

In all activities of "Action Month with Women", Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc suggested that the Women's Union continue to complete and concretize 3 easy: everything must be easy to understand, easy to remember and easy to do; 3 clear is clear goals, clear responsibilities and clear deadlines; 3 measurable is measuring inputs, measuring outputs and measuring impacts, especially positive impacts when implementing work; 3 near is each activity must be close to the people, close to the grassroots and close to digital space; 4 no is no formality, no avoidance, no pushing, no wrong function; 5 must is must listen, must dialogue, must be a model, must take responsibility and must report results. "From those results, we have peak activities, each quarter 1 big result, each year 2 breakthroughs", Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc emphasized.

Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc expressed his belief that the Vietnam Women's Union of Ho Chi Minh City will fulfill its mission as a core pillar in implementing the "Month of Action with Women" and the union's work for Ho Chi Minh City to be a livable city, where every woman and child is safe, equal, happy and developed.

“Action Month with Women” in 2025 is a broad political and social activity among cadres, members, and women, practically welcoming the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress, the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress, the Women's Congress at all levels for the 2025-2030 term; welcoming the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union and the 15th anniversary of Vietnamese Women's Day October 20.

On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union coordinated to award 15 scholarships to students; presented 22 livelihoods, 343 health insurance cards to female members in difficult circumstances, along with other social security activities with a total cost of nearly 1 billion VND.

Responding to the “Month of Action with Women”, the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union coordinated with religious establishments to organize the “Day of Nuns Doing Charity Social Work” at the Center for Social Work and Support for the Elderly in An Thanh Hamlet, Long Dien Commune, giving gifts and organizing nutritious meals for lonely elderly people.
