Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Sinh is the Head of the Steering Committee for Tourism Development in Lao Cai Province.

The Standing Deputy Head is Comrade Nong Viet Yen - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Deputy Head is Comrade Tran Son Binh, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The 16 members of the Steering Committee are representatives of leaders of departments, branches and some localities in the province.

There are 4 comrades representing agencies and socio-political organizations of the province invited to participate as members of the Steering Committee.

According to the decision, the Steering Committee has the function and task of assisting the Provincial People's Committee and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee in directing, urging, monitoring and guiding departments, branches, localities and establishments in implementing goals, tasks and solutions to develop tourism in the province; develop detailed plans to organize and implement tourism development activities in the province to ensure innovation, creativity and efficiency associated with preserving national cultural identity, conserving historical and cultural relics, scenic spots...

At the same time, inspect and urge the development and implementation of specific plans and programs on tourism development in accordance with the socio-economic development goals and plans of the province; synthesize and periodically report on the implementation of tourism development in Lao Cai province.

The establishment of the Tourism Development Steering Committee helps the province promptly remove obstacles and difficulties and make the most of local advantages, thereby building appropriate development strategies to improve the effectiveness of tourism activities.
