Committee members include: Deputy Minister of Health; Deputy Minister of Home Affairs; Deputy Minister of Finance; Deputy Minister of Education and Training; Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Deputy Minister of Justice ; Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment; Deputy Minister of Construction; Deputy Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

The Ministry of Health is the standing agency of the Vietnam National Committee on the Elderly; responsible for ensuring operating conditions and using its apparatus to organize the implementation of the Committee's tasks.
The Vietnam National Committee for the Elderly is responsible for researching and proposing to the Prime Minister directions and solutions to solve important, inter-sectoral issues in implementing the work of protecting, caring for and promoting the role of the elderly.
At the same time, assist the Prime Minister in directing, operating, and coordinating between ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies, departments, branches, and localities in developing and implementing work for the elderly, the National Strategy for the Elderly as well as programs, projects, and tasks in the field of the elderly; assist the Prime Minister in directing ministries, ministerial-level agencies, and government agencies in implementing the work of protecting, caring for, and promoting the role of the elderly.
