“My husband is not sure he can do it either,” a netizen shared.
Recently on the social network Douyin (similar to TikTok in Vietnam), an account named Trung Duc (40 years old in Fujian, China) attracted attention when posting a clip recorded by his sister and sent via Wechat.
He shared that he had received 2 clips from his sister with the content of only 3 words: "Watch it!". It was lunch break and out of curiosity, Trung Duc immediately opened it to watch. At first, he did not understand what was happening, why was his father covering his wife with a blanket? He had to enlarge the clip to see more closely.
“At that time, I thought my father was taking care of his precious daughter-in-law. Last night, when she called me, she said she was sick. Since the day my wife, Ha Lan, married into my family, my father has loved her very much, treating her like a daughter in the family,” the man shared.
He texted back to ask his sister what had happened and got more details: “I came home from work at 11am, saw my sister-in-law’s room door open, the light on, worried that something had happened to her so I peeked in to see, and saw my dad asking how my sister-in-law was feeling, to get up and drink some warm tea to ease her cough. Seeing how affectionate they were, I came back to send this to you.”
Through his sister who lives in the same house, Trung Duc also knew that his wife had been seriously ill for the past few days and had just given birth to a child 6 months ago, so his father-in-law was extremely worried. His sister was busy with a new project so she often left early and came home late. Luckily, her father was at home to take care of her.
Some other pictures were taken by my sister-in-law.
“Dad was always worried that she had a high fever or some other problem, so he would come over every night to turn on the light and ask how she was feeling. He felt so sorry for her. Dad always said that he considered his sister-in-law as his own daughter because she sacrificed so much for the family,” the younger sister added.
Seeing that, Trung Duc immediately called home to thank his father and ask about his wife more. For the past year, he had been working abroad and could not come home. He relied on his wife - Ha Lan to take care of the housework.
She both works and takes care of her young children - a solid support system for Trung Duc to work with peace of mind to earn money, save up to pay for the house mortgage, and money so that the couple's children can study in a better environment when they grow up,...
At the same time, Ha Lan considers her father-in-law as her own father, often buying him nutritious gifts and taking care of him when he is sick. “We have been married for 8 years now. 2 years ago, my husband and I felt that our economy was more stable, so we bought an apartment on installments. Unexpectedly, my father became sick all the time, I lost my job, and she alone could not bear the burden. After that, thanks to her family's help, I had a little capital to go to work far away.
Now, I try to work every day, hoping to soon return to my small home," Trung Duc shared more.
Trung Duc also shared that he always felt guilty because he could not come home when his wife gave birth. However, seeing the family in harmony like that, he was also very relieved.
Many netizens said that this is something that few families have, it's rare! "Even my husband can't be as thoughtful as that", "The relationship between father-in-law and daughter-in-law has never been harmonious, let alone so thoughtful and respectful", "That's rare, I hope my in-laws treat me like their own children",... are some of the comments from netizens.
Many people share similar stories.
However, many people also told similar stories, saying that they were very lucky to have a loving and appreciative husband's family. Some netizens felt sorry for themselves because not only their husband's family but also their husband did not sympathize or help with housework, let alone take care of them when they were sick.
