The program aims to introduce and promote the land, people, destinations, and attractive tourism products; thereby enhancing promotional activities, linking tourism development, and tourism businesses inside and outside the province. It is an opportunity to exchange, create a bridge for meetings, exchanges, and seek investment partner opportunities, sign cooperation agreements to exploit and develop tourism resources to the maximum, diversify typical tourism products, and contribute to increasing the number of tourists to Thai Nguyen.

At the program, Mr. Nguyen Chu Thu, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thai Nguyen province, said that Thai Nguyen is a province located in the Northeast of the country, a gateway connecting the midlands and mountainous areas of the North with the Northern Delta. After the merger, Thai Nguyen has a natural area of over 8,375 km², a population of nearly 1.8 million people, with open space for tourism development, rich natural and cultural tourism potential.
Regarding natural tourism resources, Thai Nguyen possesses diverse terrain with mountains, rivers, lakes, waterfalls and a system of primeval forests. Ba Be Lake stands out - the largest natural freshwater lake in Vietnam and one of the hundred largest freshwater lakes in the world. Conservation areas and special-use forests such as Ba Be National Park and Tam Dao National Forest are places that preserve diverse ecosystems, with many rare species of animals and plants, creating conditions for the development of experiential, adventure and resort tourism. At the same time, with a diverse ecosystem, it creates favorable conditions for the development of agricultural and forestry production and tourism development. Many agricultural and rural tourism models have been formed in many localities associated with famous tea regions.

Thai Nguyen is also blessed by nature with a majestic limestone mountain system, gentle rivers and streams and nearly 60 mysterious caves, an ideal destination for those who love discovery and adventure travel. The most prominent are Hua Ma cave, Tham Phay cave; Nang Tien cave, Phuong Hoan cave; Chua Hang cave. In addition, there are many pristine landscapes, valleys, and mountain ranges suitable for paragliding over primeval forests, terraced fields, and streams winding around mountain ranges.
Regarding cultural tourism resources, the province currently has 713 historical, cultural and scenic relics. Of these, there are 3 special national relics, 67 national relics, 322 provincial relics, 321 relics that have been inventoried (but not yet ranked). Many historical relics have been and are being exploited, effectively serving tourism activities, and are attractive destinations for tourists. In addition, the province also has cultural heritage values imbued with traditional identity that have been preserved and passed down by generations of people and are always present in the material and spiritual life of the people. Currently, Thai Nguyen province has 45 national intangible cultural heritages, which are invaluable resources for tourism exploitation and development.

Along with rich tourism resources, Thai Nguyen also has advantages in geographical location, convenient transportation, infrastructure, and tourism services that are gradually invested and improved. In the province, there are currently 19 tourist areas and spots that have been recognized according to regulations and basically these spots are developed in an ecological and community-oriented direction, promoting the advantages of natural landscapes and preserving national cultural identity.
According to Mr. Nguyen Chu Thu, in recent years, Thai Nguyen tourism has been making efforts to promote its tourism potential and strengths. In the period of 2021-2025, Thai Nguyen province welcomed over 18 million tourists, with tourism revenue reaching over 15 trillion VND. In response to new development requirements and new tourism development goals, tourism has gradually become a key economic sector of the province. Currently, Thai Nguyen province has been focusing on developing 4 main tourism product lines including: Cultural, spiritual, historical, and origin tourism; Ecological and resort tourism; Community and rural tourism associated with Tea culture; MICE tourism, sports, and adventure cave exploration. The conference held on this occasion is an opportunity for Thai Nguyen province to learn more experience in promoting, advertising, and developing tourism.
At the conference, the delegates exchanged ideas and shared experiences to help Thai Nguyen tourism further promote its potentials and strengths, form and develop high-quality tours, routes and tourism products to attract tourists, especially international visitors. In addition, a number of tourism businesses and travel agencies of the two localities introduced a number of tour programs, routes and signed cooperation agreements.
