The event took place from September 27-30, 2025, both responding to World Tourism Day (September 27) and creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere to welcome the Provincial Party Congress and look forward to the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, a special art program with the theme "Ca Mau - Love of land, love of people" took place. The opening was the immortal song Da Co Hoai Lang by the late musician Cao Van Lau, a work considered the origin of vọng cổ and cải lương theater art, always leaving many emotions in the hearts of the audience. The art performances continued to recreate the rich natural beauty of the southernmost land of the Fatherland, rich in products such as rice, salt, fish, shrimp, along with the generosity and kindness of the people of Ca Mau, bringing visitors a feeling of friendliness and peace.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Vu Thang emphasized: World Tourism Day is an opportunity for all of humanity to honor the sustainable values ​​that tourism brings - not only in economic aspects, but also in responsibility to the environment, culture and community.

From that meaning, the Festival “Quintessence of Ca Mau Culinary Culture” is organized with the theme “Ca Mau – The southernmost point of the country, where nature and peace converge”. This is not only a cultural event but also a message affirming the determination of Ca Mau province to make cuisine a typical tourism product.

According to him, each dish of Ca Mau is a story: about shrimp, crab, fish; about salty salt from the sea; about the smell of smoke from the U Minh forest; or the rich alluvial flavor of the land at the end of the South.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his hope that from this meaningful Festival, many more unique culinary tourism products will be formed, harmoniously combined with ecological, community and cultural tours, contributing to making Ca Mau a "must-see destination" on the tourism map of Vietnam and the world.

The festival gathered more than 100 food stalls with typical OCOP products of Ca Mau and Ho Chi Minh City. Of which, Ca Mau alone had 30 OCOP stalls from various localities, introducing more than 130 unique products, creating a vivid picture of the richness and uniqueness of the cuisine of each region.

Most of the province's famous specialties are present at the Festival such as: A Mat pancakes, Coconut Tam Ngan Banh, Spicy beef noodle soup, and many dishes made from shrimp, Ca Mau crab, Rach Goc crab, U Minh fish sauce, Bac Lieu dried goby fish, Nam Can dried shrimp, Ganh Hao and Song Doc salted catfish...
