On April 20, according to information from the Hai Phong Statistics Office, in the first quarter of 2024, the city had 817 newly established enterprises, down 5.22% over the same period last year, with a total registered capital estimated at 4,979.3 billion VND, up 6.64%. The average registered capital of a newly established enterprise reached 6.09 billion VND. The number of newly established branches, representative offices, and business locations was 444 establishments. The number of enterprises registering to temporarily suspend business was 1,213 units.

In March alone, the city had 310 newly established enterprises, down 15.76% compared to the same period last year, with a total registered capital estimated at 1,732.3 billion VND, down 17.31% compared to the same period last year. The number of newly established branches, representative offices, and business locations in the month was 178. The number of enterprises registering to temporarily suspend business was 158.

Also in March 2024, the city had 40 enterprises and 53 dependent units carrying out dissolution procedures. In the first quarter of 2024, the number of enterprises carrying out dissolution procedures was about 135 and for dependent units, it was 277 establishments./.
