The Ministry of Transport (MOT) has just announced revised and supplemented administrative procedures in the aviation sector under the management of the Ministry of Transport. According to the new regulations, from September 1, the issuance of Flight Crew Member Certificates will be undertaken by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam.
For flight crew members, technical staff, and aviation operators, it is necessary to make a list of candidates requesting a Flight Crew Member Certificate (Illustration photo).
To be granted a Flight Crew Certificate, the aircraft operator must submit a set of documents directly or via the postal system, or electronically to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam.
The fee for issuing a Flight Crew Certificate is 200,000 VND/time/person.
Within 3 working days from the date of receiving the dossier including the flight crew list and accompanying documents, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam will review and notify about the completeness and validity of the dossier.
Within 4 working days from the date the application is determined to be valid, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam shall complete the procedures to issue the Flight Crew Member Certificate to qualified applicants.
In the application, it is necessary to provide full relevant documents on the flight crew members' qualifications.
Specifically, a copy or electronic copy of the aircraft operator's request letter is required, along with a list of applicants for a Flight Crew Certificate. In particular, for flight crew members and technical staff, the operator needs to make a list of applicants.
For flight attendants and other flight personnel, operators are required to establish a list and training and proficiency testing results that meet the aviation safety requirements for the flight duties.
