BTO-On the morning of July 16, the Provincial Museum held a launching ceremony for the open storage model of the Cham Royal Cultural Heritage Collection in Bac Binh. This is a part of the Project "Preserving and promoting the fine traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities associated with tourism development" under the National Target Program for Socio -Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas for the period 2021 - 2025.
Attending the event were Mr. Vo Thanh Huy - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province, representatives of the Provincial Museum, the Provincial Tourism Promotion Center, Phan Thanh commune (Bac Binh) and many local and foreign people and visitors.
Open Warehouse The Cham Royal Cultural Heritage Collection is located about 30m north of Highway 1A in Tinh My village, Phan Thanh commune, Bac Binh district. This is the only remaining fairly complete collection of the Champa dynasty, preserved for over 400 years by the family of descendants of King Po Klong Mohnai.
This place displays more than 100 original artifacts bearing the historical and cultural values of the Cham people and is divided into 8 collection groups. Among them, the most valuable are the crown of King Po Klong Moh Nai in the early 17th century and the hair bun of Queen Po Bia Som made of gold with very sophisticated and unique carvings, along with the costumes of the King, Queen, Prince and Princess, the robe with neck and chest patterns embroidered with the image of Makara, which King Po Klong Moh Nai often wore during the court.
Associated with the collection of Cham Royal cultural heritage is the Po Klong Moh Nai Temple relic located about 200m east of National Highway 1A in Luong Dong quarter, Luong Son town, Bac Binh district, which was ranked as a National Historical and Artistic Relic by the Ministry of Culture - Information (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) in 1993.
The open warehouse model of the Cham Royal Cultural Heritage Collection in Bac Binh district will be an interesting tourist destination, meeting the needs of learning and researching about an ancient culture of the Cham people in Binh Thuan.
