Saigon Beer - Alcohol - Beverage Corporation ( SABECO ) has deployed post-disaster support activities for six northern provinces affected by typhoon Yagi, through cooperation with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (Central Youth Union), local agencies, and the company's media and business partners.
With a total value of more than 4.2 billion VND, the support program is coordinated by SABECO and other parties to bring essential goods and food to people in flooded areas in Bac Kan, Cao Bang, Lao Cai, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang and Yen Bai . The estimated support value for each province is 650,560,000 VND. In addition, the program also provides financial support worth 50,000,000 VND to frontline forces participating in overcoming the consequences of the storm in each province.
Support goods such as bottled water, food, and flashlights provided by MM Mega supermarket and Chuong Duong Beverage Company will be distributed to people by local authorities and Provincial Youth Union members.
Prioritize employee safety and business stability
With 44 member companies and more than 12,000 employees in the system, SABECO is committed to ensuring the safety and health of its employees, especially in companies and factories managed by Saigon Beer Trading Company Dong Bac and Saigon Beer Trading Company Mien Bac which were directly affected by Typhoon Yagi . During the period of impact, the Executive Board together with SABECO Trade Union and related departments are working together to:
- Ensure the safety of employees and their families.
- Assess the condition of facilities and infrastructure.
- Coordinate with local authorities and emergency services.
- Continue to supply products to businesses that need to rebuild
SABECO employees also showed solidarity and joined hands towards community relief by participating in an internal donation program organized by SABECO Union to share with employees in affected areas.
