Tighten accommodation facilities with foreigners, expel 9 people related to drugs

On October 27, Da Nang City Police said that through the management of foreigners, authorities have discovered and corrected many violations.

In 2023, Da Nang City Police inspected 64 out of 181 accommodation establishments with foreigners staying there. Thereby, they discovered and punished 8 establishments that did not declare temporary residence and 77 cases of foreigners violating immigration regulations.

The police also participated in an interdisciplinary inspection team chaired by the Department of Tourism to inspect and penalize 15 accommodation establishments and 4 travel agencies for violations.

Da Nang City Police also coordinated with the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to inspect compliance with labor and immigration laws for 42 enterprises employing foreign workers.

In addition, from 2022 to present, Da Nang City Police have discovered, arrested and coordinated the handover of 9 wanted foreigners, including dangerous subjects with Interpol's red notices.

Among them, there are 8 Koreans and 1 Chinese, most of whom are wanted by authorities in various countries after committing fraud and property appropriation cases, and there is even 1 suspect of bank robbery in Korea.

Major General Vu Xuan Vien, Director of Da Nang City Police, said that in addition to efforts to manage and guide accommodation and service establishments to comply with legal regulations, the police of various units and localities also strictly handle and prosecute many cases of illegal entry and those hiding under the guise of experts.
