Superyacht Noordam brings nearly 2,000 tourists to Da Nang on New Year's Day

On the morning of January 1, Da Nang city organized a series of exciting activities to welcome nearly 3,000 tourists visiting the city by air and sea.

At 6:45 a.m., Da Nang joyfully welcomed nearly 2,000 European and American tourists on the Noordam cruise ship, one of four ships in the Vista Class of Holland America Line, when the ship docked at Tien Sa Port.

The train departs from Singapore on December 22, 2024, passing through Thailand and Cambodia before arriving in Vietnam on New Year's Day. In Da Nang, visitors will have the opportunity to visit famous destinations such as Ngu Hanh Son, Linh Ung Pagoda, My Khe Beach and explore the city by cyclo.

According to forecasts from Da Nang Port, the number of visitors to the city by sea this year is expected to increase sharply, with 76 cruises and more than 70,000 passengers, an increase of 64% compared to 2024.

From 8am to 10am on January 1, at the domestic and international arrival terminals of Da Nang International Airport, the city's Department of Tourism organized a program to welcome the first tourists arriving by air. This year, the Da Nang Department of Tourism has prepared nearly 1,000 service experience vouchers to give to the first tourists.

At the domestic terminal, 3 lucky passengers on Vietnam Airlines flight VN110 from Ho Chi Minh City, landing at 8:20, received meaningful gifts.

At the international terminal, tourists from Thailand, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong (China) arriving in Da Nang between 9 and 10 a.m. were also warmly welcomed.

On the first day of the new year, Da Nang International Airport welcomed 125 flights, including 57 international flights. During the New Year holiday alone, Da Nang International Airport is expected to welcome more than 600 flights, an increase of 15.6% over the same period last year.
