Thai students practice Vietnamese in Da Nang

On September 26 in Da Nang, the Central Committee of the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association worked with the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association of Da Nang City on a plan to coordinate in welcoming three Thai students to practice Vietnamese and learn about Vietnamese culture in October 2025.

According to information at the exchange, within the framework of the educational project "Intensive Vietnamese Language Program for Thai Students", the Thailand - Vietnam Friendship Association and partners will grant three scholarships, each worth 50,000 baht. Students receiving the scholarship will study Vietnamese at Udon Thani University and practice Vietnamese for one month at the University of Education (Danang University). The goal is to improve the Vietnamese language proficiency and understanding of Vietnamese culture for Thai students, thereby training a team to become a bridge connecting the people of the two countries in the future.

Mr. Pham Huu Hoa, member of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association, Chairman of the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association of Da Nang City, welcomed the initiative of the other side; at the same time, he said that he had coordinated with the University of Education (Da Nang University) to prepare to welcome and work with the Thai student delegation during their time studying and learning about the culture in the city.

He expressed his hope that the two countries' Friendship Associations will continue to have more practical activities, contributing to the effective implementation of the Vietnam - Thailand Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, which will be officially upgraded from May 2025.
