The island swiftlet is an endemic subspecies distributed mainly in the Central Coast provinces. It is difficult to breed like other animals, so the work of restoring and developing the island swiftlet population is a risky job, requiring in-depth knowledge of the biological characteristics, habits, and life of the island swiftlet and practical experience in applying techniques to attract, restore, and develop flocks living in the island swiftlet caves. The development of natural bird's nest resources requires perseverance, dedication, investment in science and technology, resources, and long-term strategies to promote this value in the future.

Mr. Bui Thanh Toan - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Science and Technology exchanged opinions at the working session

Dak Lak owns bird's nest islands, which bring great advantages in developing eco-tourism and experiences. Bird's nest islands are not only a rare resource but also create a unique highlight, attracting visitors to explore the pristine ecosystem, the natural bird's nest exploitation process and indigenous culture. This is an opportunity for the province to build unique tourism products, combining nature, experiences and economic values, contributing to enhancing the image of Dak Lak on the Vietnamese tourism map.

The two sides discussed and agreed to strengthen cooperation in scientific research, conservation and sustainable development of the island swiftlet population in the coming time. The meeting opened up many practical cooperation opportunities, contributing to promoting the sustainable development of the island swiftlet population in Dak Lak province.
