Dak Lak Digital Transformation Day 2025: New driving force for development

This morning, in Buon Ma Thuot ward, the Provincial People's Committee solemnly organized the Dak Lak Digital Transformation Day 2025, responding to the National Digital Transformation Day (October 10) with the theme "Digital technology - creating the future". This is an important political and social event, aiming to evaluate the results of the past 9 months, and at the same time orient the key tasks in the next phase in the province's comprehensive digital transformation process.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the festival, Mr. Bui Thanh Toan - Director of the Department of Science and Technology emphasized: Digital transformation is an inevitable trend, an opportunity for Dak Lak to make a breakthrough in development, improve management quality, serve people and businesses, towards the goal of "Digital technology - Creating the future", making Dak Lak one of the leading localities in digital transformation in the Central Highlands - South Central Coast region.

In the first 9 months of 2025, under the close attention and direction of the Government and central ministries and branches, Dak Lak province has synchronously deployed many programs, projects and policies to promote the application of information technology, science - technology, innovation and digital transformation. In particular, from July 1, 2025, the two-level local government model officially came into operation, initially bringing clear results: solving work faster for people and businesses, building a modern, transparent administration, serving the people better.

The province's digital transformation in recent times has recorded many outstanding marks: Applying artificial intelligence (AI) in supporting the settlement of administrative procedures and the operation of two-level government; Launching the "Digital Education for the People" movement (July 15 - October 25, 2025) with 10 specific goals to popularize digital knowledge to all classes of people; Strongly developing telecommunications infrastructure, ensuring 100% of villages and hamlets have broadband connection, 99.9% of the population has 4G coverage and 26% has 5G coverage; Significantly improving the quality of online public services, with the rate of online records reaching over 35%, more than 300,000 records received (of which over 75% are through the digital environment); The index of serving people and businesses ranked 9th out of 34 provinces and cities nationwide... At the same time, the province is striving to complete the Digital Transformation Infrastructure Construction Project for the period 2021-2025, oriented to 2030 with a total cost of more than 300 billion VND in 2025.

To date, the province has completed 17/25 tasks according to Plan No. 02-KH/BCĐTW of the Central Steering Committee, and continues to deploy the remaining 8 tasks. All communes and wards in the province have achieved "green" status, completing 16/16 commune-level criteria and tasks in phase 1. At the program, Dak Lak province launched a peak period of "Improving the effectiveness of digital transformation at the commune level", aiming to complete 94 criteria of phase 2 according to Plan 02-KH/BCĐTW.

Launching the peak period of "Improving the effectiveness of digital transformation at the commune level", Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Thi Nguyen Thao requested all levels and sectors, especially 102 communes and wards, to focus on completing infrastructure and digital data, putting the Digital Transformation Infrastructure Project into operation in 2025, ensuring synchronous connection from the province to the grassroots. At the same time, continue to promote the "Digital Education for All" movement, improve the capacity and digital skills of cadres, civil servants, public employees and people...

Localities signed a commitment to compete in "Improving the effectiveness of digital transformation at the commune level".

Within the framework of the program, many enterprises such as VNPT, Viettel, MobiFone, TakaTech ... introduced solutions applying artificial intelligence, centralized data management, creating smart cities, virtual assistants to solve work, contributing to promoting the process of deep digital transformation in the fields of administration, education, health, economy and social life.

This awarding activity is not only a worthy recognition of the efforts, creativity and positive contributions of agencies, units and individuals in the process of promoting digital transformation in the province, but also creates a strong driving force to spread the spirit of innovation, learning and applying technology throughout society.
