McLaren
At the end of 2023, VietinBank Asset Management and Exploitation Company Limited (VietinBank AMC) announced the auction of the McLaren 765LT Coupe supercar, 2 seats, manufactured in 2021.
This car has license plate 51K-011.86 registered in early 2022 in Ho Chi Minh City under the name of Ms. CTLP. This supercar is also the collateral for Ms. P's loan at VietinBank. The bank seized this McLaren in early October of the same year.
VietinBank AMC chose Thien Binh Joint Stock Auction Company, headquartered in Hanoi , to be the auction organizer for this supercar. The starting price was set at 27.5 billion VND. However, the market has not yet received any further information on whether this car has been transferred to a new owner or not.
The McLaren 765LT Coupe is limited to only 765 units worldwide. When it arrives in Vietnam, the price of this supercar could be around 35 billion VND and an additional 5 billion after paying additional taxes and fees to roll.

The registration papers are under the name of Ms. CTLP, but this supercar has been mentioned a lot by car enthusiasts and is believed to be owned by a famous tycoon in the car and orchid enthusiast community in Ho Chi Minh City.
Rolls-Royce
After former FLC Chairman Trinh Van Quyet was prosecuted and arrested for "manipulation" and "concealment of securities information", a series of related assets were put up for auction by banks to recover debts. Notably, two Rolls-Royce supercars were included.
The Rolls-Royce Ghost, with many gold-plated details inside and out, was once owned by former FLC Chairman Trinh Van Quyet. The luxury car was manufactured in 2011 in England and was one of the Rolls-Royces used by the luxury brand's distributor in Vietnam before reaching Mr. Quyet.
In October 2022, an auction company organized an auction of the car with a starting price of 10 billion VND. This is the collateral for the credit contract between FLC Faros Construction Joint Stock Company and BIDV Quy Nhon branch.
By April 2024, the owner of a private showroom in Hanoi told a reporter from Dan Tri newspaper that the car had been sold to a person in Dong Nai since April. The transfer price was not disclosed. Previously, after 5 unsuccessful auctions, the starting price for this car dropped to VND 8,587 billion. However, this price does not include notary fees, auctioned asset sale contracts, and taxes, if any.

Another luxury car of Mr. Trinh Van Quyet has also been transferred to a new owner, the Rolls-Royce Phantom. This car was imported to Vietnam in 2015 under the official brand name. The unique super luxury car is one of 6 cars in the Dong Son Bronze Drum collection for the Vietnamese market.
This Rolls-Royce Phantom was previously used as collateral for FLC Land Company’s loan at Orient Commercial Bank (OCB). Last October, the bank announced that it had chosen an auction organization to sell it, with a starting price of over VND28 billion.
However, the bank continuously lowered the selling price of the car to 16.6 billion VND, a reduction of 11.4 billion VND compared to the first auction. At the 7th offering in May 2023, the car had a buyer.
Maybach
In May 2022, SHB announced the seizure of a series of assets including luxury cars of tycoon Do Thanh Nhan, former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Louis Holdings.
The assets secured for Louis Rice's loan according to the mortgage contracts and credit contracts signed between the parties. Previously, SHB sent a notice requesting debt payment or handing over the secured assets for debt settlement and recovery, but Louis Rice still did not fulfill his payment obligations.
The collateral assets include two 7-seat Ford Everest cars, one 5-seat RAM 1,500 car, one 4-seat Porsche 911 Targa 4S car, and one 4-seat Mercedes-Benz Maybach car.
The value of these cars is up to tens of billions of dong. However, after that, the market had no more information about the new owners of these luxury cars.
