Quickly fix water seepage at Thanh Xuan underpass

The management unit is looking for a solution to fix the water seepage problem in Thanh Xuan underpass ( Hanoi ).

The Hanoi Traffic Infrastructure Maintenance Board has just requested Traffic Construction Joint Stock Company 2 to fix the water seepage problem in the tunnel from Nga Tu So to Ha Dong using maintenance funds.

This unit is also responsible for continuing to monitor the remaining locations where water seepage is likely to occur during operation.

Thanh Xuan underpass appears to be water seeping.

In the first two quarters of 2025, the Traffic Infrastructure Maintenance Board will preside with the consulting unit to invite experts and related units (Railway Project Management Board and Thang Long Project Management Board - investor of Thanh Xuan mechanical tunnel construction project)... to assess the cause, study and propose suitable solutions to repair and waterproof Thanh Xuan mechanical tunnel.

Thanh Xuan underpass was handed over and put into operation in 2016, with a total investment of more than 551 billion VND, a tunnel length of 714m, a width of 16m, with a complete drainage and lighting system.

However, after only a few years of operation, Thanh Xuan underpass began to experience water leakage in the closed tunnel and expansion joints on the tunnel wall, causing traffic safety problems.
