Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau has just signed to approve the Investment Project to build a traffic intersection between Bui Vien Street and Le Hong Phong Street.

The project is being built in Hai An ward, using 5 hectares of existing traffic infrastructure land. This is a group B project, a level 1 traffic project.

The investor is the Hai Phong Transport and Agricultural Construction Investment Project Management Board. The total investment is 707.1 billion VND from the city budget; implementation period is 2024 - 2027.

When completed, the Bui Vien - Le Hong Phong intersection will not only reduce traffic congestion but also create a highlight in urban architecture.

The project was implemented to help overcome traffic congestion and ensure traffic safety for vehicles passing through the intersection of Bui Vien - Le Hong Phong and Ngo Gia Tu. The project helps reduce traffic on National Highway 5 through the inner city and other routes.

Regarding the scale of investment in the construction of the first-floor traffic intersection in the form of a roundabout, the radius of the island is 30 m. On Bui Vien Street, an underpass will be built in the direction of Bui Vien Street, designed with reinforced concrete with a total length of 485 m. Of which, the closed tunnel is 125 m long, 27 m wide with 6 lanes, and a design speed of 70 km/h.

Le Hong Phong and Ngo Gia Tu streets remain in their current state, designed to smoothly connect with the roundabout intersection. At the same time, technical infrastructure works on the route will be built such as: drainage system, tunnel drainage pumping station, lighting, trees and traffic safety.
