Song of the Year is one of the important categories, the criteria are often based on creativity, influence, musical quality as well as contribution to music and entertainment life in general.
Who is the song of the year?
"Top 3 most outstanding songs of 2025: Which work deserves Song of the Year?", an entertainment fanpage asked and cited the names of three songs. North Bling (Hoa Minzy), What could be more beautiful? (Nguyen Hung), Frog in the well (Phuong My Chi) for everyone to vote.
Of the three songs above, "Frog Sitting at the Bottom of the Well" exploded in the final night of "Em xinh say hi", dominating the charts of Zing MP3, Lan song xanh, YouTube, also having an MV with the highest number of views of the year on YouTube (about 37 million views in more than a month) and is considered the song of the "junk food" group this year.
But compared to other songs, this song is somewhat inferior in terms of influence and quality.
What could be more beautiful? Before that was Nguyen Hung's Miracle , which was not too explosive when it was released but gradually rose in rank to become two new national hits.
At the same time, "unearthed" Nguyen Hung, a new hit maker, who doesn't write much but every song he writes "sticks" and becomes a phenomenon.
Meanwhile, Bac Bling is truly a "bang" when it achieves "unprecedented" achievements. The song's MV reached 200 million views the fastest in V-pop history, 100 million views in less than a month of release, the first MV in 2025 to reach this milestone.
According to YouTube World Charts, Bac Bling also topped two categories: Most Impressive Debut MV and Most Impressive Debut Song, making this the most successful product of Hoa Minzy's career.
In Vietnam, Bac Bling also dominates many charts such as ZingChart, iTunes, Apple Music and Lan Song Xanh. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also used Bac Bling as a typical example of internationalizing traditional cultural products in a dialogue with young people in March.

Another song, written in 2023 but went viral this year, is Continuing the story of peace after two major festivals (A50, A80). The musician said the song reached a total of about 6 billion views, compiled from platforms such as TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, short clips on Reel/Story...
Among the top hits of the year, we can mention other products such as Treasure (by (S) TRONG Trong Hieu), Pain in the Middle of Peace (Hoa Minzy), My House Has a Flag (Ha Anh Tuan)...
But overall, up to now the top three most outstanding songs this year can be mentioned as Bac Bling , Continue the story of peace, What is more beautiful .

Five great victories, "extremely difficult to choose"
In 2025, Vietnamese music will achieve many remarkable achievements, with songs reaching the top trending, national concerts with tens of thousands of people and high-class individual concerts; there will also be artists competing internationally and winning or making their mark. Most notably, Vietnamese identity and culture will "bloom" outside the country.
Vietnamese music also has a generation of Gen Z artists such as My Anh, 2pillz, Wren Evans, DTAP... with new, modern, and international musical thinking.
Meanwhile, 8X, 7X artists as well as artists who are well known to the audience are still supporting with music products, personal concerts with audiences such as Ha Anh Tuan (concert Sketch A Rose "going" to the US in October after the concert in Ho Chi Minh City in March), My Tam (concert on December 13), Vu (concert Museum of Regrets going to Australia next November)...
