Subaru Forester 2.5 iS EyeSight priced at 2.1 billion VND in Southeast Asia

Subaru Forester 2.5 iS EyeSight has just been launched in Thailand. The car is imported completely built-up (CBU) from Japan with a selling price of 2.59 million baht (about 2.1 billion VND).

Compared to the previous generation, the new Subaru Forester 2026 is 30 mm longer and 15 mm wider, while the height and wheelbase remain the same. The vehicle has overall dimensions of 4,655 x 1,830 x 1,730 mm, a wheelbase of 2,670 mm and a ground clearance of 220 mm, allowing flexible operation on many terrains.

The car's exterior is developed on the Subaru Global Platform (SGP) with a two-layer Full Inner Frame body structure, 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights with integrated washing system, LED fog lights, cornering lights and an electric trunk that opens/closes with hands-free opening support.

The interior of the Forester 2.5 iS EyeSight is finished in a combination of leather and Ultra-Suede. The car has a 10-way power driver's seat with lumbar support and memory; and an 8-way power passenger seat.

The rear seats fold 60:40, can recline and fold flat with just a One-Touch button. The car has an 11.6-inch central screen that supports wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, wireless phone charging, dual-zone automatic air conditioning with rear air vents. 4-way adjustable steering wheel with integrated paddle shifters.

The biggest highlight of the new generation Forester is the EyeSight 4.0 safety package. The system uses three cameras and a wide-angle camera, providing many advanced features such as: automatic pre-collision braking; blind spot warning; rear cross-traffic warning; driver condition monitoring...

Other notable features include emergency braking when the driver loses consciousness; Stop&Go adaptive cruise control. In addition, the car is also equipped with 8 airbags, a 360-degree camera and many other support features, enhancing overall safety for the user.

The new Forester is equipped with a 2.5L 4-cylinder horizontally opposed BOXER engine (FB25), delivering a maximum capacity of 185 horsepower and a maximum torque of 247 Nm. This power is transmitted through an 8-speed Lineartronic CVT automatic transmission, combined with a Symmetrical AWD full-time 4-wheel drive system.

According to the announcement, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.7 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 205 km/h, with an average fuel consumption of about 14.08 km/l. The car has notable operating support technologies including Dual X-Mode, SI-Drive driving mode, MacPherson Strut front suspension and Double Wishbone rear suspension.

The standard interior is black. Subaru also revealed that it will consider distributing the 2.5 S:HEV Strong Hybrid version in Thailand in 2026, after this powertrain recorded high demand in Japan.
