When it comes to Long Dien, everyone knows about the famous craft village that has been famous for hundreds of years throughout the Mekong Delta: Thu Market Traditional Carpentry Craft Village, established in 1892. Mr. Tran Minh Doan - representative of the craft village said: "The craft village has stood the test of time, prospering thanks to its diverse product range, from household items to fine art carvings for tourism and interior decoration; many wooden products have high artistic value with the support of technology, machinery and craftsmanship. We have formed many groups of workers specializing in interior decoration, meeting the aesthetic tastes and increasing demands of customers. The market is wide open, the products are not only consumed in the Mekong Delta, Ho Chi Minh City but also exported to Laos and Cambodia".

Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Long Dien Commune Cu Minh Trong said: "In the 2020 - 2025 term, thanks to the efforts of the Party Committee, the government and the people, Long Dien achieved and exceeded 19/19 targets of the resolution. Average income per capita reached 86.8 million VND; the poverty rate decreased to 0.9%. Political and ideological education, improving the quality of Party cell activities were focused on; Party member development exceeded the target (108.9%). The Public Administration Service Center after the merger operated stably, the rate of timely settlement of administrative records and procedures reached 98.8%; the satisfaction level of people and businesses reached 99.4% (excellent). Industry and handicrafts developed, especially some traditional industries and occupations were maintained and promoted well, contributing to the overall growth of the commune".

Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long Dien commune, Pham Xuan Dao, said: "The patriotic emulation movements and campaigns launched by the commune Fatherland Front are aimed at socio-economic development, building new rural areas, civilized urban areas, and sustainable poverty reduction. Currently, Long Dien Commune Party Committee has 43 affiliated Party cells, with 1,146 Party members. The emulation movement to build "Four-Good Party Cells" and "Four-Good Party Committees" has been effectively implemented, contributing to improving the quality of grassroots Party organizations and Party members.
