The work Canh Tu, nominated for British Books 2024, will be released in Vietnam.

Since its release in May 2023, Rebecca Yarros's Fourth Wing has continuously broken many records. On BookTook - a hashtag used by book lovers on TikTok to recognize each other, videos sharing thoughts about this work have received billions of views. Readers are also counting the days and hours waiting for the next parts of this book series to be released, something that has been a long time since Harry Potter or Twilight.

Over the past time, Canh Tu has sold more than 2 million copies worldwide and sold translation rights to 30 other languages. Last year, in the vote on Goodreads - a familiar place for book lovers - Canh Tu also received more than 397,000 votes, far surpassing dozens of subsequent nominations in the category of Romance (romance - fantasy).

Romantasy is a genre in which the "emotional" element is as important as the way to build a fantasy world including legends, language, character setting, setting... and without the emotional line, the whole work will become disjointed. Thanks to the success of Canh Tu and works with the same theme, "romantasy" has become a hot keyword on BookTok with a constantly increasing number of fans.

Recently, Canh Tu was also shortlisted for the prestigious British Book Award 2024, in the Pageturner category (compelling, engaging book), while part 2 Iron Flame was also shortlisted for the Fiction category (fiction book). Previously, it also received the Alex Award of the American Library Association in 2024, awarded to 10 works for adults and with special appeal to teenagers (12 - 18 years old).

Realizing this potential, Tre Publishing House quickly bought the copyright and proceeded with the translation. Translator Hoang Anh, who has been very successful in translating works such as The Man Named Ove, Beartown… will take on this work.

The story revolves around 20-year-old Violet Sorrengail, who thought she would enter the Military Block and live a quiet life surrounded by books and history of the kingdom of Navarre. However, she was forced by her mother, who is also the commander-in-chief of the Basgiath Military Academy, to take the exam for a major she did not like, because she wanted her daughter to become a dragon rider and join the most elite military branch of the mighty kingdom of Navarre.
