On November 21, a two-minute clip was circulated on social media, recording a Vinasun taxi driver arguing with a foreign tourist after the driver threw a styrofoam lunch box and a water bottle onto the road.

The male tourist disagreed with the littering and asked the taxi driver to pick it up and dispose of it properly.

However, the male driver did not comply but challenged the tourist, "What does it have to do with you if I throw trash?" the taxi driver said in Vietnamese to the foreigner.

The incident ended when the male driver returned to his taxi parked across the street and drove away, leaving the trash bag where it was. A witness used his phone to record the incident and posted it on social media.

Through verification, the incident occurred on November 20 on a street in the central area of Ho Chi Minh City.

Speaking to Dan Tri reporter, Mr. Ta Long Hy, Director of Vinasun taxi company, said that after learning about the incident, the company decided to temporarily suspend the company's male driver.

According to Mr. Hy, the driver's actions were wrong. "The incident should have been very simple. The driver, when discovered by the tourist, should have disposed of the trash in the right place and apologized and thanked him, that would have been the end of it. But the driver was aggressive and argued with the male tourist, which was very offensive," said Mr. Hy.

The director of Vinasun taxi company added: "Yesterday afternoon (November 20), I summoned the driver and suspended him from work for 1 month to reflect on his actions. I also posted the clip above on the group for all drivers to see to point out the wrongdoings."

In addition, the leader of Vinasun taxi company also apologized to the male tourist and hoped everyone would understand this unfortunate incident.
