Verifying the taxi driver was beaten and hospitalized in front of the bus office

The incident occurred on Nguyen Hoang Street (near My Dinh bus station) on the morning of March 6, injuring the taxi driver and requiring emergency treatment.

On the morning of March 6, on social media, account D.T said that a relative of a taxi driver was just assaulted by Quang Giang bus company staff, leading to hospitalization.

Sharing with reporters, Mr. T said that the incident happened in front of house number 55 Nguyen Hoang street (My Dinh 2 ward, Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi ) at around 4:00 a.m. on March 6.

At that time, the victim was a taxi driver who was waiting to pick up a passenger when a man locked the wheel of his car. When the victim questioned him, the man hit the male driver on the head with a lock pick.

"At 4:30 a.m., I went to take my family member to the emergency room. People sent me a picture of the passenger bus with license plate 23H-016.53, a picture of a man, and said that the person who beat me was a member of the Quang Giang bus company. The incident has been reported to the My Dinh 2 Ward Police," said Mr. T.

Speaking to reporters, the leader of My Dinh 2 Ward Police said the unit had received information about the incident and was verifying and clarifying it.

The bus station office on Nguyen Hoang Street, the area where the taxi driver was assaulted on the morning of March 6.

According to the reporter's records, at office number 55 Nguyen Hoang, both Quang Giang and Su Chuyen bus companies have signs. People around the area said that the two bus companies operate at this office to deliver goods and transfer passengers.

Contacting the representative of Su Chuyen bus company, this person said that the person who assaulted the taxi driver in the incident on the morning of March 6 was not the driver nor an employee of the company.

Regarding whether the perpetrator was an employee of Quang Giang bus company as reported by people talking to the victim's family, the police are currently verifying and clarifying.

Regarding the above issue, the leader of My Dinh bus station added that the passenger bus with license plate 23H-016.53 mentioned in the incident printed the name of Quang Giang bus company but belonged to Ha Giang Passenger Transport Joint Stock Company, not a "illegal" bus. The unit registered this bus operates at My Dinh bus station on the Hanoi - Ha Giang route, closing the departure order according to the exact departure time every day. On the morning of March 6, this passenger bus entered the station at 4:27 am.

According to the reporter's records, along Nguyen Hoang street (around My Dinh bus station), there are currently many bus offices for delivering goods. However, passenger buses often stop and park in front of these offices.

The leader of My Dinh bus station also said that since the district and county police forces were removed, the traffic inspection force was no longer allowed to check outside the bus station (only the traffic police force of Traffic Police Team No. 6 still carried out the task of patrolling and controlling traffic safety in the area, but due to the small number of personnel, it was difficult to control comprehensively), leading to more and more illegal buses and bus stations operating around the My Dinh area.

Regarding the above issue, the leader of Traffic Police No. 6 said that recently, the unit has worked with representatives of bus companies opening offices in the Nguyen Hoang area to sign a commitment not to pick up or drop off passengers at the office, causing congestion and traffic obstruction. In the future, the Team will increase inspections and strictly handle cases of intentional violations.
