Temporarily detaining illegal timber located on the land of the Head of the Department of Internal Affairs in Quang Nam

On November 27, the Quang Nam Provincial Forest Protection Department said that it had just reported on the case of inspection and verification based on the citizen's complaint about illegal timber storage.

Upon receiving the application, the Forest Protection Department coordinated with the Phuoc Son District Forest Protection Department and the Kham Duc Town Police, Phuoc Son District to verify.

Through inspection, it was determined that the land lot (opposite house number 49 Quang Trung street, Kham Duc town, Phuoc Son district) illegally stored 14 round logs, with a volume of 2.052m3 and 77 boxes and sawn timber bars with a volume of 2.881m3.

The owner of this land lot is Mr. Vo Van Ba (born in 1975, house number 49 Quang Trung street, Kham Duc town, Phuoc Son district).

According to the report, the owner of the above forest products (wood) is Mr. Vo Van Nho (PV - brother of Mr. Vo Van Ba), residing in residential block 5, Kham Duc town. Mr. Nho stated that in 2014-2015, he bought this amount of wood from local people and some of the wood had legal origin, the wood purchase records were lost a long time ago.

The working group established a record of violations according to regulations and brought all the above-mentioned evidence (wood) to Phuoc Son District Forest Protection Department for temporary detention and preservation; at the same time, handed over all records and evidence of violations to Phuoc Son District Forest Protection Department for further investigation, verification and handling according to legal regulations.
