Further strengthening relations between Vietnam and Türkiye

On the occasion of taking up her new duties, Vietnamese Ambassador to Türkiye Dang Thi Thu Ha had courtesy meetings with Turkish Defense Minister Yaşar Güler and Chairman of the Turkish Defense Industry Board (SSB) Haluk Görgün.

At the meetings, the Minister of Defense and the Chairman of the SSB both affirmed that Türkiye considers Vietnam an important partner in the Asian region and wishes to further strengthen relations with Vietnam.

SSB Chairman Haluk Görgün expressed his impression of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's visit to Turkey in November 2023, affirming that the Prime Minister's visit is an important milestone in political relations as well as defense cooperation between the two countries.

Minister Yaşar Güler suggested that the two countries continue to expand areas of cooperation; thanked Vietnam for its strong support and hoped to continue strengthening relations between Türkiye and ASEAN. Both leaders said they would visit Vietnam soon.

Speaking at the meetings, Ambassador Dang Thi Thu Ha emphasized that the relationship between the two countries is on a positive development path, and similar values ​​in history, culture, and independent and autonomous foreign policies are important foundations to further strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the two countries in the coming time.

The Ambassador made a number of proposals on future cooperation directions, and expressed his belief that the visits to Vietnam by the Minister of National Defense and Chairman of the SSB will create a strong driving force for cooperation between the two countries in this field.
