The whole commune had 57.6 hectares of crops deeply flooded, of which 25.7 hectares of corn, 14.3 hectares of rice, 16.9 hectares of cassava and 0.7 hectares of other crops. Some sections of irrigation canals in Ban Nieng hamlet were buried; many traffic routes were eroded and flooded, causing local isolation of hamlets: Bo Khon, Lac Hien, Lung Xom, Lung Nam, Ngoc Chung, Lung Na, Ngoc Son.
Quang Vinh Kindergarten and Quang Vinh Primary School were flooded about 2 meters deep; Quang Vinh - Luu Ngoc Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities also had its school yard flooded. The commune-level steering committee coordinated with the school, parents and people to promptly move equipment and teaching aids to a safe place.
Immediately after the storm hit, the Commune Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control mobilized forces to work 24/7, evacuating 20 households in the hamlets of Ban Loa, Pu Do, and Vinh Khai out of the danger zone; supporting the relocation of property and livestock for 18 households. Police and militia forces were deployed at key points to handle traffic incidents, and put up warning ropes on deeply flooded roads to ensure people's safety.
The rain has stopped in the area, however due to the low-lying terrain, water from the caves has accumulated, so the water level in some hamlets continues to rise, with no signs of receding.
