Vietnam National Coal-Mineral Industries Group deploys tasks for 2025

On January 6, in Hanoi, Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group (TKV) held a conference to review production and business activities in 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025. Attending the conference were comrades: Nguyen Hoang Anh, member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises; Pham Duc An, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province; Vi Ngoc Bich, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Ninh province; Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Quang Ninh province and representatives of relevant ministries, branches and units.

With the spirit of "Discipline and Unity", in 2024, TKV has strived to overcome difficulties, not only maintaining production and business activities according to the set plan but also strongly overcoming, continuing to affirm its role as a pillar in the economy of our country, as well as of Quang Ninh province. The total revenue of the Group nationwide is estimated at more than 168,000 billion VND. Clean coal production output reached more than 36 million tons, coal consumption output reached over 46 million tons. Average income in the coal production sector reached 18.7 million VND/person/month. Contributing to the state budget is over 25,000 billion VND, of which the budget in Quang Ninh is 17,600 billion VND.

Along with the political responsibility of ensuring national energy security, TKV always fulfills its corporate social responsibility, supports the construction of welfare projects, social security work in the locality, and takes good care of the lives of workers.

In 2025, the Group plans to pay the State budget 25,500 billion VND; consume 50 million tons of coal; export coal to reach 2 million tons; produce clean coal to reach 36.85 million tons, import coal to reach 13.2 million tons; power generation output to reach at least 10.07 billion kWh...

Comrade Nguyen Hoang Anh, member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises, gave a speech at the conference.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Pham Duc An, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province, affirmed: In 2024, the coal industry, with the pillar being the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group, has made important contributions to the development of Quang Ninh province.

In 2025, Quang Ninh province determined the working theme of the year "Breakthrough in economic development, creating momentum for the new term", in which Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group continues to be one of the pillars, making important contributions to the development of Quang Ninh province.

To achieve that goal, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group to continue to make efforts and strive to exceed the 2025 production and business plan; review and perfect labor safety regulations and procedures in each production stage, especially underground mining. At the same time, continue to promote the application of science and technology in production, considering this the key to improving productivity and increasing labor safety coefficient; coordinate with units in Quang Ninh province to promote the use of mine waste rock and soil as filling materials for projects. Along with that, continue to preserve and promote the good cultural values of mine workers, the Coal industry and Quang Ninh province, pay attention to social welfare and security, contributing to the successful implementation of the goals and tasks set out in the Resolution of the 15th Quang Ninh Provincial Party Congress.

All the people and officials of Quang Ninh province commit to share and continue to accompany the Coal industry for stability, sustainability and development with the spirit of "Discipline and Unity", with the aspiration to build a model Quang Ninh, rich, beautiful, civilized and modern.

adf — Comrade Ngo Hoang Ngan, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group, gave a speech directing the implementation of the plan and tasks for 2025.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Hoang Anh, member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises, suggested that in 2025, TKV clearly define a development strategy closely following 3 national plans related to the energy sector; regularly monitor, update, and review implementation activities associated with financial indicators to preserve and promote the efficiency of using State capital invested in enterprises.

Along with that, promote mechanization, automation, computerization, digital transformation of management and production operations in the Group; care for and improve working conditions, raise safety levels and quality of production and living environment for workers; focus on coordinating to solve and remove difficulties and obstacles in production and business activities, especially obstacles in granting exploration and exploitation licenses.
