Japan Coast Guard training ship visits Da Nang city

On March 31, the training ship Suzunami of the Japan Coast Guard docked at Tien Sa port, beginning a courtesy visit to Da Nang City from March 31 to April 3.

The training ship Suzunami, led by Colonel Mizuno Tatsuhito, Commander of Training Ship Squadron 12, carried 230 sailors.

The ship welcoming ceremony took place solemnly with the participation of representatives of the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Naval Region 3 Command, the City Border Guard Command, the City Military Command, the Border Guard Command of Da Nang Port, the Foreign Affairs Department of the Military Region 5 Command and representatives of the Foreign Affairs Department ( Ministry of National Defense ).

On the Japanese side, there was the presence of Mr. Mori Takero (Consul General of Japan in Da Nang), Lieutenant Colonel Matsuzaki Ryo (Deputy Defense Attaché of Japan in Vietnam) and officials of the Japanese Embassy, the Office of the Japanese Defense Attaché in Vietnam and the Consulate General of Japan in Da Nang.

During the friendly visit to Da Nang City, the ship's commanding delegation paid courtesy visits to the leaders of the Da Nang City People's Committee and the leaders of Naval Region 3. The ship's sailors will also participate in sports exchanges with officers and soldiers of Naval Region 3, practice together at sea and visit historical and cultural sites in the locality.

The visit aims to strengthen cooperation, understanding and mutual trust between the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense and the Japanese Ministry of Defense in general, and between the Vietnamese Navy and the Japan Coast Guard in particular.
