Tay Ninh aims to become a strategic connection center

On October 10, the first Congress of Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, closed after 3 days of serious, focused, and democratic work with the motto "Solidarity-Democracy-Discipline-Breakthrough-Development."

Attending were: Comrade Nguyen Van Nen, Politburo member, Standing member of the 14th Party Congress Document Subcommittee; Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission; Comrade Tran Luu Quang, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Comrade Mai Van Chinh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister; Comrade Truong Tan Sang, former Politburo member, former President, and many Central leaders.

The Congress announced the Politburo 's decision to appoint the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 67 comrades.

Comrade Nguyen Van Quyet, Secretary of Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, was appointed to continue holding the position of Secretary of Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

Comrade Nguyen Van Quyet was born in 1972, in Khanh Nhac commune, Yen Khanh district (old), Ninh Binh province. Professional qualifications: Bachelor of Law, Master of Party Building and State Administration, senior in Political Theory.

The Politburo also appointed four Deputy Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term; the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee consists of 20 comrades.

The Secretariat also decided to appoint the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 14 comrades. The Tay Ninh Provincial delegation attending the 14th Party Congress includes 32 official delegates and 4 alternate delegates.

Speaking at the Congress, comrade Nguyen Van Nen highly appreciated Tay Ninh's achievements in the 2020-2025 term, basically completing the targets, average GRDP growth of 6.73%/year, self-balancing the budget; expecting Tay Ninh to promote its strategic position, becoming a model of dynamic and creative development in the Southern key economic region.

He emphasized that after the merger, Tay Ninh needs to adjust its planning and innovate its development thinking, considering this a strategic opportunity to form industrial, commercial, tourism, and high-tech agricultural centers, creating a driving force for regional connectivity.

Regarding personnel work, comrade Nguyen Van Nen requested to build a team that sets an example, resolutely avoids formalism, unleashes innovation resources, and creates clear changes from the end of 2025.

On behalf of the Congress Presidium, comrade Nguyen Van Quyet, Secretary of Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee, emphasized that the guiding opinions of comrade Nguyen Van Nen are an important basis for the Congress Documents to be completed systematically and scientifically; an important basis and premise for the province to maximize its potential and advantages, aiming for the goal of dynamic and prosperous development together with the whole country to advance strongly in the era of national development.

The general goal of the 2025-2030 term is to build Tay Ninh into a dynamic and sustainable economic development center; a strategic connection center between the Southeast region and the Mekong Delta, and a strategic trade hub with Cambodia.

The locality achieves the target of an average economic growth rate (GRDP) of 10-10.5% in the 2026-2030 period; GRDP per capita by 2030 reaching 8,000-8,500 USD (equivalent to 210-225 million VND).

Strive for no poor households in the province by 2030 (according to the Central poverty standard for the period 2026-2030). The scale of the digital economy by 2030 will reach 30% of GRDP; the urbanization rate by 2030 will reach 45-50%.

The Congress agreed to focus on three strategic breakthroughs: Administrative reform, associated with training and fostering of staff, developing high-quality human resources; developing science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, green transformation, circular economy; mobilizing all resources to build infrastructure, especially synchronous and modern transport infrastructure, connecting development driving regions.

The Executive Committee of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee, term 1, 2025-2030, was assigned the task of developing a program and action plan to quickly implement the Congress Resolution into life on the basis of receiving and thoroughly grasping the direction of the Politburo and the Secretariat.../.
