Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia - Head of the Department of Fisheries said: Gia Lai has many potentials and advantages to develop fisheries. The province has a coastline of 134 km; 3 large brackish water lagoons including: Thi Nai, De Gi and Tra O, with an area of about 8,000 hectares.

However, climate change and overexploitation have been causing degradation and depletion of aquatic resources. Therefore, releasing fish fry into the natural environment is considered a practical solution to restore, regenerate and develop aquatic resources.
