THACO proposes to invest in Cai Mep Ha port in Ho Chi Minh City

Truong Hai Group Joint Stock Company (THACO) proposed the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to allow the implementation of the Cai Mep Ha port construction investment project in the Ba Ria-Vung Tau area.

Truong Hai Group Joint Stock Company (THACO) has just sent a document to the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the City Department of Finance proposing to implement the Cai Mep Ha Port Construction Investment Project in Cai Mep Port Area, Tan Phuoc Ward, Ho Chi Minh City (before the merger was Phu My Town, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province).

According to THACO 's proposal, in the process of expanding multi-sector investment, the group has accumulated a lot of experience and achieved success in the logistics field, especially the deployment and operation of Chu Lai port at Chu Lai international port.

Perspective of Cai Mep Ha port area

THACO is also an investor with extensive experience in managing and investing in the construction of key national projects, such as airport projects, ports, transport infrastructure projects, industrial parks, and urban areas.

After research, the enterprise found that the Cai Mep Ha port project in Cai Mep port area, Tan Phuoc ward, Ho Chi Minh City is one of the projects that is suitable for the investment orientation of the Group.

Therefore, the Group has researched and completed the investment proposal documents and approved the investor according to regulations.

To soon implement the Project, THACO requests the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the Department of Finance to pay attention, support and soon approve the investment policy of Cai Mep Ha Port Project.

According to the Master Plan for the development of Vietnam's seaport system for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, Cai Mep Ha port area (Ba Ria - Vung Tau) is identified by the Government as one of the priority seaport investment projects until 2030.

Therefore, Ho Chi Minh City considers it necessary to promptly invest in ports in the Cai Mep Ha area according to the plan.

Previously, THACO Group also proposed to participate in the investment research for metro line 2 (Tham Luong - Ben Thanh section; Ben Thanh - Thu Thiem) and the Thu Thiem - Long Thanh railway line.
