
Warm Mid-Autumn Festival
These days, the red color of star lanterns and mooncake boxes permeate every home. Children in difficult circumstances in the city receive meaningful Mid-Autumn gifts, filled with love and sharing.
On the evening of October 3, the City Department of Health coordinated with the People's Committee of An Phong Ward to organize a Mid-Autumn Festival program for children with the theme "Mid-Autumn Festival Connecting Love", with the participation of nearly 900 children in the city. The children listened to the New Year's greetings from President Luong Cuong, watched art programs, lion dances, puppet shows, received gifts, scholarships and broke the Mid-Autumn Festival together.

On this occasion, the Hai Phong City Children's Fund awarded 345 scholarships and 355 gifts to disadvantaged children in the area with a total amount of more than 675.5 million VND from the mobilized funds and support for the City Children's Fund. The Vietnam Children's Fund awarded many scholarships and 270 gifts to children in especially difficult circumstances.
At SOS Children's Village Hai Phong, the program "Full Moon of Love" organized by Hai Phong Youth Union in coordination with the city's Red Cross attracted hundreds of children to participate. Also here, at the end of September, the volunteer group Song Se Chia coordinated with many philanthropists in the city to organize the program "Birthday Cake of Love 2025" and "Mid-Autumn Festival of Love".
In addition to the lion dance and lively music performances, each child received a gift including moon cakes, milk, lanterns and school supplies. Mr. Nguyen Huu Quang, Head of the volunteer group Song Se Chia, said: “The members of the group want to bring joy, love and sharing, so that every child here can have a warm and reunited Mid-Autumn Festival.”

Joining in the joyful atmosphere of the Mid-Autumn Festival, on the evening of October 2, at the Hai Duong Social Protection Center, the program "Mid-Autumn Festival Connecting Love" took place.
On this occasion, VietinBank Hai Duong Industrial Park branch presented 30 gifts to disabled students in difficult circumstances, each worth 500,000 VND and 5 sets of computers to the center.
Watching the special performances with Hang and Cuoi, along with the vibrant lion and dragon dance and receiving gifts from the benefactors, despite the difficulty in communicating, Nguyen Thi Hoa's hands and facial expressions clearly showed joy and happiness.
Besides the attention of local authorities and organizations, many businesses spend money to care for children in difficult circumstances.
System Fan Vietnam Co., Ltd. and Duc Anh GLOBAL Group Joint Stock Company cooperated with the Association of People with Disabilities of Nhi Chieu Ward to present 80 gifts to disabled children, orphans, and children in difficult circumstances in the ward.
Mr. Pham The Hieu, General Director of System Fan Vietnam Co., Ltd. said: "Promoting good traditional values, we always want to accompany social organizations to contribute to creating more positive values and sharing love, especially with disadvantaged children during the Mid-Autumn Festival."
On the afternoon of October 3, the Border Guard unit of the Hai Phong coastal border area coordinated to organize the program "Border - Full Moon Festival", bringing a warm Children's Day to students. The leaders of An Phu commune visited and presented gifts to 9 children in especially difficult circumstances such as orphans and severely disabled children, and also organized the giving of 68 gifts to children with a total value of more than 13.6 million VND. The commune supported each village with 2 million VND to organize the Mid-Autumn Festival for the children in the village...
No child left behind

To ensure that all children in the city can celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival safely, happily and healthily, the Department of Health has sent a document to the city's departments, branches, organizations and People's Committees of communes, wards and special zones to encourage the organization of the Mid-Autumn Festival combined with health care, nutrition and health care programs for children.
Concerned units organized visits, encouragement, and gave Mid-Autumn gifts to children in the community, schools, social protection centers, care and inpatient treatment facilities, etc., focusing on children in special circumstances, disadvantaged children, and children affected by natural disasters and epidemics.

Mr. Phan Huy Thuc, Deputy Director of the Department of Health, said that he has assigned specific tasks to units in the industry to organize well the Mid-Autumn Festival care activities, ensuring the health and rights of children on this occasion. In the organization, the coordination of agencies, unions, social organizations, businesses and individuals is encouraged to mobilize resources, carry out many rich and attractive recreational activities, attracting children to participate.
