Thailand brings the duo playing in the US to win the Southeast Asian Women's Championship

The Football Association of Thailand (FAT) has officially announced the list of 23 players participating in the upcoming 2025 Southeast Asian Women's Football Championship in Vietnam.

Under the leadership of Japanese coach Futoshi Ikeda, the "war elephants" caused a big surprise when giving opportunities to many new players, especially the presence of a talented duo who are being trained and competing in the US.

Striker Madison Jade Casteen comes from the prestigious NC Courage Academy. She is considered the new hope for the Thai women's team's attack when she was trained at the top women's soccer academy in the United States.

According to Siam Sports , she possesses good technical foundation, speed and modern finishing thinking.

Meanwhile, Yulia Gurning from Wasatch SC Club is expected to strengthen and add steel to the midfield of the Thai women's team.

The decision to call up the squad this time also shows a strong personnel "reform" when not calling up many previous key players.

Mr. Futoshi Ikeda prioritizes many young names to create a team with depth and competitiveness for the future.

At the tournament taking place from August 6 to 19, Thailand is in group A with Indonesia, Cambodia and the biggest opponent is the host team Vietnam.
