On October 9, a working delegation led by Mr. Vo Van Ngoan - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment visited and surveyed the Hau Giang Waste-to-Energy Plant project in Hoa An commune, Can Tho city.

Hau Giang Waste-to-Energy Plant is invested by Greenity Hau Giang One Member Co., Ltd. The project has a land use area of 23 hectares, total waste treatment capacity of 600 tons/day (domestic waste, industrial waste); generating 6MW/unit; using mobile burning technology of Martin/German origin.
The factory meets the “4 no” standards: no odor, no leachate discharge, no dust, no dependence on foreign countries - Vietnamese people are in charge of design, procurement, construction, trial operation and operation management. Collect and treat all waste in the old Hau Giang province. Expected to contribute to the budget about 40 billion VND/year; create jobs for 400-500 workers during the construction phase and 100 workers and engineers during the operation period.
Being a unit participating in investing in Tra Vinh Solid Waste Treatment Plant in Song Loc commune, Vinh Long province; land use area of nearly 10 hectares; total waste treatment capacity of 495 tons/day; expected to contribute to the budget about 20 billion VND/year; expected to be completed in 2026.
At the meeting, the company proposed the Provincial People's Committee, departments and branches to approve the increase in total investment to 975 billion VND. It asked for the opinion of the Ministry of Industry and Trade to approve the plan to implement the Power Plan VIII for urgent projects that are being implemented so that investors can complete connection procedures, route directions, and sign power purchase contracts. In addition, update and supplement the Tra Vinh Solid Waste Treatment Plant with a capacity of 499 tons/day and generating 7.5 MW to the Vinh Long Provincial Plan (new).
Mr. Vo Van Ngoan - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment said that through the field visit and survey, the aim is to suggest and resolve difficulties and obstacles, speed up the implementation progress of Tra Vinh Solid Waste Treatment Plant. Thereby, contributing to the treatment of waste generated in Vinh Long province, ensuring environmental quality.
