Thang Binh "4 on-site", "3 ready" to fight storm number 10

DNO - Faced with the complicated and unpredictable developments of storm No. 10, the People's Committee of Thang Binh commune has deployed prevention plans according to the motto "4 on-site" and "3 ready" to avoid being passive in any situation, ensuring safety and minimizing damage to people and property.

With the forecast of storm No. 10 being strong, moving quickly, and having a wide range of influence, Mr. Nguyen Van Mua, Head of Ngoc Son Tay village, proactively informed residential areas so that people would not be subjective and urgently harvest crops.

At the same time, mobilize militia and youth volunteers to be ready to support people, prioritizing shoring up and reinforcing houses and public works and evacuating vulnerable people.

Mr. Truong Hong Quang, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thang Binh Commune, said that with the motto "4 on-site" and "3 ready", the locality has established 23 shock teams in 23 villages with 100 people ready to respond when storms and floods occur.

In addition, the commune established a working group to direct and inspect flood and storm prevention work at the grassroots level. On September 27 and 28, working groups and shock troops actively followed the locality, zoning 713 cases living in low-lying areas, needing to be evacuated to a safe place before the storm made landfall.

“Currently, the Commune Police and the Commune Military Command are ready with forces, vehicles, and equipment for rescue and relief, and are implementing measures to ensure the safety of people and property. Particularly in areas that are frequently flooded, the Commune People's Committee has arranged forces to be on duty 24/7, and absolutely do not allow people to cross in a dangerous way,” Mr. Quang informed.

Up to now, the roads in Thang Binh commune have been neatly trimmed. The shock force and people in 23 villages have been deployed to clear sewers, drainages, and remove manhole covers to limit deep flooding on some roads.
